This well-made decoy appears to be from the Upper Chesapeake Bay, but I have not been able to identify the maker. Whoever made it was obviously an excellent artist and craftsman. It is in original paint; and the fact that the ballast weight was added after the paint was applied suggests that the decoy could be from the area around Rock Hall, MD, where that was the common practice.
