Dick Simpers (1852-1917) worked for the B&O Railway; but during the gunning season, he arranged his work schedule in Baltimore so that he could work on Capt. Harry Moore's vessel, the Jennie F. Moore, which sailed out of Havre de Grace, MD. For almost 30 years, he worked his job with the railroad in Baltimore and then traveled by train to work as a mate on the gunning boat.

 

The decoy is in very good structural condition and in old working repaint, with a very dry surface.  More pictures available on request.  Buyer pays shipping.
