Taylor Boyd (1856-1946) lived in Perryville, Md, and worked as a carpenter and gunner.  His decoys have the features of Cecil County decoys in general, including a neck shelf and a paddle tail that extends straight out at the chine line. His decoys also have mandible carvings.

Taylor Boyd made a classic high head decoy that is iconic and immediatly recognizable from its profile, with a regal head carving in a slightly reared back pose.
