Taylor Boyd (1856-1946) lived in Perryville, Md, and worked as a carpenter and gunner.  His decoys have the features of Cecil County decoys in general, including a neck shelf and a paddle tail that extends straight out at the chine line. His decoys also have mandible carvings.

Boyd decoys in good condition are difficult to find. This decoy was made around 1920 and is old working repaint.
