Joe Dye, the son of Ben Dye, lived in Havre d Grace, MD, where he worked as a fisherman, gunner, and guide. This decoy (in old working repaint) has the broad paddle tail and the carving of the bill (mandibles and nostrils) that are desirable in examples of his decoys.
